• Disadvantages: Compaction density is not as high as that of steel wheel roller. The compaction effect on high viscous soil is poor. The tires wear out faster and the maintenance cost is relatively high. Sensitive to temperature, easy to stick to the wheel at high temperature, and the rubber hardens at low temperature, which affects the compaction effect.
• Function: Mainly used for compaction of asphalt pavement, stabilized soil base, gravel pavement and other flexible road surfaces.

For foundation projects that require high compaction, steel wheel rollers are a better choice; while for flexible pavements that require high leveling, rubber wheel rollers are more suitable.
